Circumlocution

After days, nay months, of pondering how to get pictures off my phone and into Shutterfly, I have finally found a solution, albeit a cumbersome one.  I can post pics from my phone to the blog, then save to my desktop, import into iphoto, then export to Shutterfly.  So you will be seeing a lot of pictures from the past year posted here over the next few days. 100s of them. I'm sure you are all excitement.

Yes, I know I can just email them to myself. But this is a lot more fun, right?

Dear deer

It is hard to see, but there are two deer on the hill. They crossed the road right in front of us. After I gave up trying to get a decent shot, one reared up and stood on its hind legs and munched on an ocotillo.

Easter Egg Hunt

Jill dances

Jill loves music.  She dances at the kids' recitals, and sings along at their musical productions.  She mimics their choreography and if I didn't sit in the back, she would jump up on stage with them.  Luckily it is usually crowded and she can't find a clear path up from the back.

More Stink Bug

Here are some more vids from the First Grade Play.  Ben had the most speaking lines.  Unfortunately, one of the kids didn't make it to the final performance so another child read the part as a stand in.  That messed Ben up because the stand-in was the prompt for another set of Ben's lines.  So Ben reversed the order of his lines.  It adds to the charm.  But you can't understand him very well on the second set because he was annoyed with himself.  Here are his parts in the correct order:

I know I'm not the sweetest thing

that ever graced your nose,

but what am I supposed to do?

Go hungry, I suppose.

You really are too mean to me!

Your manners send me reeling!

You had to hit me where it hurts,

and now you've hurt my feelings!

Repentance

I've been called to repentance.  Apparently, I have been too neglectful in updating the blog.  So I'll try to post a few videos everyday until I am caught up. This first one is of Jeremy with the visiting army band.







There are so many more videos of Ben, the Stink Bug, that are so stinking cute, but I was in a dark cafeteria sitting way in the back so the camera had a hard time staying in focus.  One of these days I'll get a dedicated video camera.
