The Surprise turns to Recognition

Lots of funny gifts . . . like nose-hair trimmers and an extra large universal TV Remote the size of a 2 lb chocolate bar. Speaking of chocolate, he got lots of that as well. I forgot to rotate the cake picture before uploading, I guess.

I scanned 30 or so pictures from Dave's memorabilia and made a slideshow. The kids loved it. Fortunately, Dave was completely surprised by the party. Over 50 people attended. He had been moping around for the past 11 days since I didn't make much of a big deal of his real birthday. Little did he know what was in the works . . .

Material Girl

We just got back from Sedona where we stayed in condos. One morning after breakfast, Jill snuck out the door to take a walk. I noticed quickly and stayed a step or two behind as she toddled along the sidewalk taking note of objects and bugs here and there. After a few minutes she stopped abruptly, turned to the right, and slowly, tentatively, even reverently reached out her hand to touch . . . a BMW. She then resumed her stroll paying attention to everything but the cars.
